Meet Ellie
Ellie Wilson is a justice reformer, activist, and motivational speaker who has used her own experience as an abuse survivor to drive change and empower women.
Her campaigning has led to significant policy improvements in both criminal justice and higher education.
Ellie was a finalist for the University of Glasgow’s World Changing Alumni Award, one of Fabulous Magazine’s Women of the Year, and a finalist for the Emma Humphries Memorial Prize.
Pain into Power
Ellie is dedicated to using her voice to make change and help others. Through her candid re-telling of her own story she is busting stigmas and turning her own pain into her platform. Ellie believes that the shame of abuse is never for the victim to carry, and that the more open we are in talking about it, the sooner change will come.
‘Pain can either be your prison… or your platform’
