When I tweeted the other day asking for blog post ideas someone suggested an anti-haul so I decided to give it a try. So here is my first anti-haul, I hope you like it. Let’s jump right in:
Now this is just personal preference but I cannot get my head around cream products and where they should come in terms of my makeup routine. I also know that I’m not that good at contouring so I’m going to skip this one, but, if you like cream products and contouring then I would definitely give this one a go.
Don’t get me wrong, I love the Eraser Eye Brightener and use it every day but I’ve really struggled with the rest of the Eraser Eye range. The other shades are far too dark, orange and yellow for me so I will be giving this one a pass.
Another product that I just don’t get is liquid highlighters. I just don’t get them! I have one that I use very very rarely – and only to mix into my foundation to add a little glow but how do people use these products purely as highlights and not ruin the rest of their makeup?! If anyone has any advice please let me know!
Why is everyone so into metallic lip products? I am still massively into the whole matte lip trend so I can understand popular trends but this trend just does not appeal to me at all. What I will say though is that I’m impressed this comes with a lipliner but does that have shimmer in too or is it a standard lipliner? Someone please let me know.
These look utterly ridiculous if you ask me! With brows being such as massive thing at the moment and miniscule pencils and pomades being the most popular (at least with me) I would have thought Maybelline would have paid attention to this rather than going the other way completely. I honestly wouldn’t even know how to use this without making a huge mess.
The reviews that I have read about this have been mixed – some people really liked it but others were not that keen. However, the main thing that puts me off this foundation, and all the other Rimmel foundations, are that they don’t go light enough for my skin, or should I say, the tones do not match my skin. at. all. The lightest shade is porcelain but it is so pink that it makes me look physically ill so although the formulas look good, I cannot touch any of them and it infuriates me.
Half of me knows I should avoid this at all costs because I’m not a child anymore and I’m really not into colours and trends like this but the other half me wants to put this all over my face and just really play with it. I like the way it’s in an actual rainbow so if I were to swipe my brush in it I would pick up all the colours in the palette.
What is this?! Why would I want to use silicone “brushes” on my eyes when I can use soft synthetic brushes to create an eye look that can enjoy and enjoy creating by using soft and comfortable tools? I’m now tempted to google some reviews of these “brushes” and see what everybody else has to say.
These are 10 pounds a tube. 10 pounds?! This is the drugstore not a department store or a Sephora or other high end store. Prices in the drugstore have been creeping up and up lately and think is another example of that. I refuse to pay 10 pounds for a liquid lipstick from the drugstore when I could pay just a little more and end up with a high end lip product. I’m not impressed Maybelline, sorry.
So those are the products on my anti-haul and the reasons why I’m not so interested in them. What products are you anti-hauling at the moment?
