Beauty Days Out Shopping

IMATS Haul + Pictures

Welcome to my first post in over 20 days. woops. It got to the point where I burnt myself out trying to get five blog posts up a week whilst doing other stuff. The situation wasn’t ideal so I’ve decided to cut it down to two posts a week. On with the post…

Last weekend was London IMATS. A whole room full of makeup, makeup artists and makeup junkies. I think my brain exploded as soon as we walked through the door.

I think the highlight of my day was meeting the Kat Von D Event Artistry team. Oh my god, they are amazing!! I had a real fangirl moment I am not ashamed to say. We met them after Leah and Steffanie did a talk of the Kat Von D Lock It Range. I think you can tell by my face in the picture below.

I didn’t set out with a massive shopping list, actually to be honest, I didn’t set out with a shopping list at all. I wasn’t even planning to buy anything. But then I found the MAC Stand. There were three lipsticks that I had my eye on, Velvet Teddy, Russian Red and Ruby Woo. I managed to narrow that list down to Velvet Teddy and Russian Red. I guess narrowing down isn’t the right word but I couldn’t decide on Russain Red or Ruby Woo but my friend pointed out that I have a lot of red lipsticks very similar to Ruby Woo so I decided to pick up Russian Red and Velvet Teddy.

Oh man, I love Russian Red so much!! I’ve never tried anything like this and it is amazing! It’s comfortable to wear, opaque and doesn’t bleed. Although obviously, now I want Ruby Woo too!

As mentioned, I also picked up Velvet Teddy. Velvet Teddy seems to be the staple nude for a lot of people. I feel like this is one of those lipsticks that I will always keep in my handbag to reapply whenever I need.

The final product that I bought was the Beauty Blender. Now I’ve tried many dupes of the Beauty Blender from Real Techniques to B. Beauty to others. NOTHING I have tried so far has been as soft as, and worked as well as the Beauty Blender. Honestly, if you haven’t tried the Beauty Blender, then you need to try it ASAP.

Next year I will definitely be going to IMATS with a shopping list as long as my arm!

What products have you tried lately that I need to try?
